A successful and Live Stream Launch for the second series of the mod pack Life in the Woods Renaissance took place on the 14th February 2016 much to the delight of fans everywhere.
During the first hour of the live stream there has already been 1000+ downloads and over 700 users playing the game.
The biggest surprise came from Germany with YouTube Lets Player GronkH starting back with Minecraft and his first Life in the Woods Episode:
LIFE IN THE WOODS [S01E001] - Alles auf Anfang ★ Let's Play Minecraft
The Life in the Woods brand new launcher developed by Homac has been a success, making the installation very easy for all users.
Once again thanks goes to all the Patrons who helped test and develop the new mod pack and for supporting the live stream and launch.

In 2014 I created Life in the Woods, a 1.6.4 Minecraft modpack based on the writings of Thoreau, and focusing mainly on exploration, natural beauty, an expanded building, cooking, and farming experience, and the ability to play as a vegan or vegetarian without limiting gameplay.
On February 14th you can return to your Life in the Woods, but this time in 1.7.10! The first version was widely beloved--even more than I ever could have imagined--but I was never truly happy with it. I’ve spent most of the last six months refining and improving on everything that I learned with the first iteration, and I can now honestly say I’m incredibly proud of Renaissance and I can’t wait for everyone to finally be able to explore it with me!
The public launch of Life in the Woods: Renaissance will be on February 14th at
5 PM GMT

Take This will be streaming for the second year this holiday season. Starting December 28th at 12PM Eastern and ending December 29th at 11:59PM Eastern anyone can join Take This' It's Dangerous to Stream Alone fundraiser.
#What's it for?
This year's fundraiser will help fund a new project for Take This: The Take This Scholarship Fund, helping people who can't afford it pay for mental health care. Take This believes that people in need of mental health care should not have to go alone. The Take This Scholarship Fund will seek to provide grants in the amount of one year of mental health treatment to qualifying applicants.
It's Dangerous to Stream Alone
Benefitting the Take This Scholarship Fund
According to our research, the cost of individual mental health care for most Americans is anywhere from $5,000-$10,000 per year. Many insurance plans either do not cover mental health treatment, or are not subscribed to by most mental health care providers. This means that low-earning students and artists, who may be susceptible to mental health issues, are also the ones least able to pay for it.

Indie game studios are beginning to embrace a 'love affair' with Twitch as a means to share the development experience with the Twitch community. Also, Twitch helps to provide much-needed exposure to indie games; for example, "Variety Casters" - like MANvsGAME - love having new games to experience 'blind' on their channels! Come and join MAN, and a small panel of indie game developers, to discuss the various benefits, potential pitfalls, and the untapped potential of the relationship between Indie Games and Twitch.
The session will focus on the relationship between developers, specifically indies, and broadcasters. We will discuss how broadcasters can meet developers, why developers should be working with broadcasters, the value that can be created through a good working relationship and give specific examples from experience on both sides. There will be ample time to answer questions from the audience as well. Attendees will come away from the talk with valuable information and details on how and why they can and should be working with developers and some inspirational stories as well
From the Twitch Live stage to Panels to the Broadcast Pods, we'll have tons of content to watch whether you're in person or at home. Tune in!
Get your learn on through panels and product showcases in our Twitch Education Zone, then put your newfound knowledge to the test in our Broadcaster Pods.

So! Another successful PAX trip in the books. This was my fifth PAX, and third PAX Prime over the course of the last two(-ish) years!
This year like last year, I drove down to Seattle with Pause. On the way to the actual event we went over and visited the N3RDFUSION studios (which were TOTALLY AWESOME by the way) and met up with Guude, Sevadus, OMGChad, and Sethbling. After a delicious Thai dinner, I finally got to my hotel and met up with Bisnap!
Friday was the busiest day by far. Went around the show floor and briefly met up with many of my developer, artist, streamer, musician, and youtuber friends. Checked out the layout and decided on the gameplan for the rest of the weekend. The excitement of seeing all your friends and trying to fit everything in! Spent a few hours volunteering at the Take This booth as well, which was a lot less stressful than I worried it might be. Went to the SCEA Sony Developer party that was held at the Chihuly Glass Garden again, and met up with a number of friends, developers, and met a few new faces. Stuffed MY face with sushi, gave plenty of hugs, chatted up Tim Schafer (was too shy last year), and got a sweet custom PS4 controller that was limited to attendees of the party! Ended up leaving with Rami to go check out the Twitch party but it was a bit too crowded and loud, so we snagged a few friends and met up in a hotel lobby to go get some late night grub.
Saturday was nonchalant by comparison. Had a couple meetings with Harmonix and Nicalis. Harrassed everybody at the Vlambeer booth with hugs incessantly. Relaxed a bit more, and spent some quality time in the console freeplay room. Bisnap and Cirno entered the Project Diva F2nd Miku tournament and while I had to leave before it ended because I was just so exhausted, Bisnap won! I ended up napping for a bit at the hotel and meeting up with one of my close Patrons for dinner (Taliyah), and we invited a few friends to join us, including Axl Rosie! There was a bit of misadventure in the rain, but we ended up having a delicious dinner at the Hilton bar with lots of hugs and selfies and hashtags. :)
Sunday was the Mindcrack panel and signing, which was the only panel I went to all weekend. Once again met up with Taliyah and Human_USB (which I stumbled on at the Vlambeer booth earlier!) and waited in line. Managed to flag down JSano for hugs and photos and to introduce him to Taly. Plenty more hugs and photos after the panel, and we went out for some sushi before we went back to the signing and got EVEN MORE hugs and photos! After the signing we went back to the show floor, with KurtJMac in tow, and took a look around the Indie Megabooth together. That night was dinner at the Crab Pot with Mindcrack and friends.
Monday was sooo laid back. Lots of people had already flown home on Sunday night or were heading out to the airport Monday morning, and everyone working the show was pooped from a full weekend of parties and hawking their wares. Plenty of goodbyes, bit of playing in the Gameworks arcade, and a bit of last minute business-card-exchanging. Popped over to the Indie Box booth and caught up with them, snagging a Captain Forever Remix box. Swung by Harmonix again to say hi to Eric Pope. Huggled everyone in the Vlambeer booth one last time. That night, when I was too tired to walk anywhere, Rosie and Kurt both came by my hotel lobby for their last hugs and a chat.
The trip back was mainly uneventful. Stopped by Pause's house and snuggled Navi and Zelda and hugged Andrea. Slept most of the car ride honestly. The majority of the event was filled with hugs, dinners, and lots of planning or waiting or meeting up with people but overall I feel like it was probably the best PAX I've ever been to!
A big thank you to everyone of my Patrons those who have been with me from the begining, and all of those who have just joined in THANK YOU ALL~!
AHHHHHH sorry folks~! I've been all kinds of crazy busy with pre-PAX, PAX, and post-PAX, plus about a thousand things behind the scenes, working on LitWR and trying to sort that for launch, getting artists and music and files lined up for future months, and and and... yeah. I still haven't done a full August recap yet, I need to do a PAX vlog/storytime video, don't even get me started on all the freaking goals we've surpassed that I need to start researching and incorporating!
What I'm trying to say is, thank you. And WOW. Holy crap. Surpassed 100 Patrons, unlocked the last goal, and at some point during PAX we passed 9000 subs (it's over 90--no.)? Wow.
Also. I'm super hard at work at probably literally a billion things and I'm terribly sorry that I'm a bit behind~! Hopefully all the awesome stuff coming up will make you forgive me. *HUGS*
Thank you to all of you~! Phedran ❤
A big thank you to everyone of my Patrons those who have been with me from the begining, and all of those who have just joined in~!
Through your help and your support I've been able to achieve so much, without which I would have been unable to.
I am currently travelling down to PAX Prime, on my return home, I'll be working on finishing the Life in the Woods Renaissance Modpack, getting my Podcasts up and running, and start work on producing my weekly Vlogs! From 11:00am PST my Patreon has just gone from $1001 to $1418/month, again thank you so much~! ❤
This now means I'll be researching my next goal of: ASMR, Audio Books, and Sleep Aid videos, and now look into my monthly mega-stream, my health will have to be a priority, so, nothing like a 24 hours stream, but I will be playing on the server and doing much more with my Patrons.
Thank you to all of you~! Phedran ❤

In 2004, the folks at Penny Arcade decided they wanted a show exclusively for gaming. Sure, comics, anime, and other nerd hobbies were cool, and those activities all had their own shows… so what about games? From that idea spawned a small 4,500 person event in Bellevue, Washington, focused on the culture and community that is gaming.
Since then, the show hasn’t looked back. Doubling in size each year until venue capacities were reached, in 2010 the show expanded into Boston for PAX East, drawing tens of thousands of attendees in the inaugural year. The shows in Seattle and Boston represent the two largest gaming events in North America!
The 2015 Full Indie Summit will take place at the Vancouver Convention Centre, East Building, Ballroom A and B.
The Full Indie Summit is a conference on game development with a focus on the independent developer or "indie". The Summit features presentations and/or panels on all matters of interest to game developers, with the goal to inform, educate, inspire and motivate!
We are dedicated to creating a high-quality game-development conference that is relevant, accessible and affordable, helping to close the gap left by the loss of GDC Canada and Casual Connect. The Full Indie Summit is an excellent opportunity to once again unite the Pacific Northwest, providing a venue not only for Vancouver's bustling indie scene, but to all the developers in the extended area.
Working together to build a strong community helps us not only grow, learn, and be more resilient in the face of the many challenges facing today's industry, but creates an amazing opportunity to meet and collaborate with your fellow developers. Whether it is through shared experience, learning or networking, we hope that Full Indie Summit can make us all more successful, whatever path each of us takes.
- Bringing the indie community together and facilitating opportunities to help sustain and grow the community.
- Offering the best value possible from a conference: top-quality presentations, affordability and networking opportunities
- Creating opportunities to unite the larger community of the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
